Snoop Dogg Gets Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

American Rap veteran, Snoop Dogg just got honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Snoop Dogg was at El Capitan Theater for the presentation which was taped for Jimmy Kimmel Live! and webcast on YouTube.

The 47-year-old hip-hop star gave an acceptance where he attributed his success over the years to himself, he said “I want to thank me for believing in me, I want to thank me for doing all this hard work,” he said. “I wanna thank me for having no days off. I wanna thank me for never quitting. I wanna thank me for always been a giver and trying to give more than I receive. I want to thank me for trying to do more right than wrong. I want to thank me for just being me at all times.”

He was joined by legendary producers Quincy Jones, Dr. Dre and Leron Gubler, president & CEO of the Hollywood Chamber and Jimmy Kimmel, in unveiling the star.Also, musicians like 2 Chainz, BattleCat, Big Boy, George Lopez, Jeannie Buss, Jeezy, Pharrell Williams, T.I.,Ty Dolla $ign, Warren G and others were present for the occasion.

The rapper’s star is dedicated in the category of “Recording” and is the 2,651st to grace the famed sidewalk of Hollywood Boulevard.

It’s been a big year for Snoop, who is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut studio album, Doggy Style, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart when it was released in November 1993. In October, he also published his first cookbook, From Crook to Cook.
