The fears of Nigerians living in the Federal Capital Territory FCT Abuja and Plateau state have been allayed by the acting inspector-general of police-IGP Usman Alkali Baba saying that they can go about their businesses without panic.
He gave the assurance in a press statement issued today in Abuja where he asked citizens to see the alert for the beefing up of security in the FCT and Plateau as a “re-assurance of the intelligence depth capacity and operational preparedness of the Nigeria Police.
The acting IGP while stating that the alert does not suggest that there is an imminent attack in the aforementioned part of the country, he however calls for calm and urged citizens to go about their normal activities with renewed sense of vigour, patriotism and vigilance as the Police continues to work with other relevant stakeholders to keep the public space safe.
